MOH has announced that the DORSCON level will progressively transit
to YELLOW by Monday 11 May 2009. Stringent border controls will
still be maintained and HQO will still apply to persons with travel
history to Mexico. The travel advisory will remain the same.
2 As such, measures in schools will be stepped down in tandem.
Schools will adopt the following measures:
a. To stop temperature screening for visitors to schools. However,
visitor details (apart from the visitor's temperature) should still
be recorded for contact tracing purpose if required later;
b. To stop daily temperature-taking from Thursday 7 May 2009; and,
c. To continue to follow MOH's travel advisory, and review all
travel plans, especially to affected areas.
We will also stop visual screening. We will also open the gates for
a freer flow of traffic till 0830h. As to whether we need to
continue to close gates 2,3 & 5 after 1pm, we will make the decision
tomorrow morning.
